>>> Our Goals     >>> Org Chart Asif Ahmad Vice President & Chief Information Officer Asif Ahmad has been the Vice President and CIO of the Duke University Health System since February 2003. He provides leadership, direction, and strategic planning for the information technology staff and functions in support of the Duke University Health System, which includes Duke University Hospital, Durham Regional Hospital, Duke Health Raleigh Hospital, the Schools of Medicine and Nursing, the diagnostic and outpatient clinics, research laboratories, and programs of allied health professions. Janis Curtis Associate Chief Information Officer, Entity Support Group Janis Curtis provides leadership and direction for IT activities in the various DUHS entities with particular focus on Duke Health Raleigh Hospital and Durham Regional Hospital. Pat Douglas Director, Staff Resources and Interim Director of Finance Pat Douglas is the Director of Staff Resources & Special Projects. She is responsible for providing leadership, management and oversight for Human Resources, staff recognition and enrichment activities, space and facilities management, coordinating the management of office functions, and assisting Mr. Ahmad in implementing various Health System initiatives. In her role as Interim Director of Finance, Pat manages IT financial resources and assets across DUHS. This includes capital planning and management, financial policy development, interpretation and administration for DHTS. Berit Jasion, RN, MA Associate Chief Information Officer - Technology, Informatics, and Education Services Berit Jasion provides direction for the nursing informatics and support of the hospital clinical systems. She is responsible for overseeing the customer service division, technology education services, and the project implementation managers. Peter Kilbridge, M.D. Associate Chief Information Officer for Patient Safety Initiatives Peter Kilbridge provides leadership and strategic planning for information technology initiatives and other activities related to clinical information systems and patient safety. Cathy Peele Director, DHTS/Patient Revenue Management Organization-IT Cathy Peele directs the Information Technology team of the Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO), and is responsible for overseeing new patient visit and accounting initiatives throughout the Health System. Rafael Rodriguez Associate Chief Information Officer, Infrastructure & Networking Support Rafael Rodriguez provides information and data networking services. These services foster patient safety; clinical effectiveness; excellence of care, research, and teaching; effective collaboration and communications among the Duke Health Enterprise constituencies; and ensure the security and privacy of sensitive information. Mike Russell, M.D. Associate Chief Information Officer, Clinical Information Support Mike Russell provides direction and coordinates the implementation of the computerized physician order entry (CPOE) initiative in the Health System and oversees the development of clinical applications. Iain Sanderson, M.D. Associate Chief Information Officer, Perioperative Services Dr. Sanderson provides clinical information solutions for the perioperative areas in the Duke Health System. These solutions range from the documentation of patient care to the just-in-time delivery of equipment and resources, aiming to foster patient safety, clinical effectiveness and operational efficiency in this intensive environment.
